JOB TITLE:  Marketing Events Coordinator                                                            REPORTS TO: VP of Marketing

DEPARTMENT: Marketing

 

JOB DESCRIPTION: The Marketing Events Coordinator is responsible for creating a kick-ass presence at trade shows, managing webinars, Research Rendezvous and other industry events. FocusVision needs a rock star coordinator to liaise between sales and marketing to ensure we demonstrate our thought leadership through creative, smart, in-person events. This includes staying on top of all logistics, including event set-up, venue management, registering sales attendees, detailed budget tracking, and effective invitation management.

 JOB DUTIES:

  • Secures trade show, conferences and other event placements, including vendor selection, contract negotiation, registrations and budget approvals for 40-50 events per year
  • Assist VP in various tasks
  • Coordinates trade show booth design and production, storage and shipping to and from various events in the U.S.
  • Plans special activities and cool promotions to push events through sales and marketing channels
  • Review marketing material translations in Spanish and Portuguese to ensure they are correct
  • Secures promotional item creation and shipment to various events
  • Works with sales team members attending trade shows, ensuring pre and post work is completed for events, including attendee list-gathering lead tracking
  • Arranges and schedules client dinners, cocktail hours, etc.
  • Owns event calendar and ensures updates are placed in web resource library and calendar on focusvision.com
  • Coordinates pre and post activities for webinars, including collecting presenter bios, presentations, practice/walk-through sessions, email invites, and registrations on GoToWebinar
  • Works with other marketing team members for promoting events and webinars (social media, events calendar, blog, emails, video, PR as needed)
  • Manages budgets, timelines, and ROI for all events, utilizing Pardot and Salesforce systems

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Bilingual in Spanish, or Portuguese a plus but not a requirements
  • 3+ years’ experience with tradeshows
  • Sales experience a HUGE plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving (able to find solutions on the fly)
  • Experience managing a variety of people and event details all at once
  • Creative Thinker to help us make a splash in the industry
  • Microsoft Office skills required
  • Pardot and Salesforce experience a plus
  • GotToWebinar experience a plus
