Business Development Director

JOB DESCRIPTION: The Business Development Director is responsible for communicating and selling the company’s value proposition to prospective accounts across all industry verticals. This individual will be responsible for the entire client acquisition process including client targeting, qualification, presentation, proposal, training, trial of services and ultimately repeat use. This position requires someone with a hunter mentality and the ability to find the decision makers in the targeted organizations.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Seek, qualify and acquire new clients through initial phone meetings and prospecting
  • Successfully negotiate and close deals with new clients
  • Develop expert knowledge of the FocusVision product portfolio and where it fits in the market research process
  • Utilize tools such as Salesforce.com, LinkedIn, and others to meet and exceed stated metrics
  • Adopt and adhere to FocusVision sales processes
  • Effectively leverage sales call campaigns, sprints, etc. to aide pipeline development
  • Work effectively with other FocusVision departments to successfully close and implement business

 REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution
  • 5+ years’ experience with new business development (B2B experience).
  • You must have relevant experience with prospecting
  • Proven success negotiating contracts and pricing terms
  • MR Experience or Software Selling a plus
  • Proven track record for exceeding sales expectations

  • Self-starter, motivated, who can work independently
  • Must be extremely self-motivated and be able to overcome obstacles and stay positive
  • Intuitive understanding of deal structures that will secure the business
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and computer (MS Office, Excel) capability
  • A clear sense of urgency and ability to close
  • Active listener who takes the time to understand the client’s business
  • Consistently exhibits professionalism, even under the most demanding client situations
