Something that cuts across all of our offerings is our drive to be an open source about methodology, staying on the cutting edge of research, and being willing to share our knowledge, and helping our clients get the most out of their research.
I’m happy to say that we are bringing this mission to a whole new level with the creation of our Research Strategy Team.
Our Research Strategy Team consists of gifted, leading edge researchers whose job it is to help our clients design and execute the best possible research via our platforms. In addition, this group will constantly share knowledge and new ways of thinking with the research and marketing community, present at conferences, and publish in blogs and industry magazines.
Zoë Dowling, Lead Research Strategist
The group is led by Zoe Dowling. Zoë holds a BA in Sociology and Social Policy from the University of Stirling in Scotland, an M-Phil in Social Research Methodology from the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa, and a Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Surrey in England.
Prior to joining FocusVision, Zoë served as Senior Vice President and Global Mobile Capability Leader for Added Value, a global marketing consultancy and part of the Kantar Group. She transformed Added Value’s approach to data collection by leading the shift to mobile research, driving awareness and best practices. While at Added Value, she participated in Kantar-wide initiatives, including web and mobile research within developed and emerging markets.
As Lead Research Strategist for FocusVision, Zoë works closely with the company’s sales and product development teams to create customized and relevant technology solutions for clients, with emphasis on packages inspired by actual research activities and use cases.
Ryan Baum, Senior Research Strategist
Ryan Baum, formerly of Millward Brown, possesses a keen mind, an approachable demeanor, and a wide array of methodology and category expertise. He is well-versed across industries in concept research, advertising research, branding research, package testing, pricing research, segmentation, messaging and message development, neuromarketing, implicit psychological testing, eye tracking, and sensory evaluation.
As part of our Research Strategy team, Ryan will work closely with the company’s sales and product development teams to create customized and meaningful technology solutions for clients, with emphasis providing real world insights, advice and examples to match research objectives with the right technologies. Prior to joining FocusVision, Ryan held research leadership positions for Millward Brown and Buyology, where he worked with major brands, including McDonald’s, Marriott, PepsiCo, Verizon, Pfizer, PayPal, Nintendo and more
Mike Kuehne, Senior Research Strategist
Mike Kuehne is a veteran researcher with both client and agency side experience, including stints at Avon and The Dannon Company. Most recently Mike was Sensory and Consumer Insights Director at Gustatec specializing in pharma, healthcare and sensory research.
As part of FocusVision’s Research Strategy team, Michael will work closely with the company’s sales and product development teams to create customized and meaningful technology solutions for clients, with emphasis on Pharma, Healthcare and CPG organizations. Prior to joining FocusVision, Michael led agency-side research initiates for Gustatec and Q Research solutions. He also directed in-house research initiatives for Group Danone and Avon.
Aaron Jue, Market Research Director
The team is rounded out by Aaron Jue. As Market Research Director, Aaron’s role is to capture key internal business performance metrics and FV customer insights. His background includes over 10 years’ worth of full service online survey research in a variety of capacities. Before FocusVision, Aaron served 5 years as senior project director at Added-Value in Los Angeles managing a team helping to drive the marketing efforts of a client with a $2B annual advertising budget.
Aaron’s knowledge and research helps FocusVision stay at the forefront of new market research trends, best survey design practices, maximizing response rates, and data quality. His report Participation of Mobile Users in Online Surveys has provided researchers a critical overview of the current trends in mobile access to online surveys.
And this is just the beginning. We are in the process of adding to this esteemed group in the UK/EU and in the US.
